The "in thing"

Yep, that's right, it finally happened. Following in the footsteps of such internet-posting pioneers as Erwin Tang and Ryan Nordman, Ryan Allan has started a blog. Where will he go with it? What will it be about? And, most importantly, will anyone read it? Only time will tell.

Why now? Well, the other day Cody and I were enjoying a wonderful meal at some place whose name I can't remember [Ed: although we managed to shiester two shots of cherry liqueur without paying for them, the food sucked and neither of us will ever go back], and somehow we got to talking about blogs. You know, how they're the trendy thing these days with the college crowd, not to mention their recent supposed importance as alternative journalism (think Rathergate, Jeff Gannon, etc...). Anyways I said that I felt like I really should have one, seeing as I fit the profile so well (young net-savvy university student). I almost felt guilty that I didn't have one already, like I was somehow letting my generation down. You know what I mean? Like a bass player in the 60's with long hair and bell bottoms who suddenly realizes he's never smoked weed. Well, the 00's are our 60's, and nerding it up on the nerdbox is our rampant drug use. Regardless of whether or not that's a good trade [Ed: it isn't], this is our youth movement, so I say let the weedsmoking commence! (metaphorically of course)

So there you go, seeing as how this is Issue #1 I felt compelled to include the requisite Origin. With that out of the way I'm free to tackle other, more important issues, but I think they'll have to wait until next time cuz I've got an essay due. Well, actually it was due almost a month ago, but who's counting? [Ed: the professor] Later y'all.
